Training:
Certified AS-i Engineer
How
can you get the best out of AS-Interface?
By
becoming a Certified AS-i Engineer of course.
Here’s
how …
The
MMU Certified AS-i
Engineer course is a full, 1.5 days course that teaches
the theory and practice of ASi. Using a hands-on, practical
approach you will learn how to use AS-i intelligent sensors,
actuators and remote I/O in the most efficient and effective
way, and see how to integrate AS-i into higher level fieldbuses.
During the day you will build, configure and exercise your
own AS-interface system from scratch. The course also includes
an overview of the AS-i
‘Safety at Work’ profile which allows AS-i networks
to be used in safety-critical systems such as emergency
stop and machine protection systems.
The
Certified AS-i Engineer course was developed at Manchester
Metropolitan University with the aid of the UK AS-i Trade
Association. High standards of competency are ensured by
written and practical tests within the course. Successful
graduates will receive a ‘Certified AS-i Engineer’ certificate.
